Our access panels and riser doors are available in 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute fire ratings, independently tested to BS EN 1634-1:2024. We can advise on the correct rating for your specific application and compartmentation requirements.
If an access panel is installed in a fire-rated wall or ceiling, it must maintain the same fire resistance as the surrounding structure. Building Regulations Approved Document B sets out the requirements for fire compartmentation, which includes access panels and riser doors.
Our acoustic-rated access panels achieve sound reduction values up to Rw 60dB when tested to BS EN ISO 10140. The exact performance depends on the product and size specified. We can help you select the right option to meet Part E requirements for schools and residential buildings.
Yes. Our insulated loft hatches are designed to meet the thermal performance requirements of Approved Document Part L. They feature insulated cores and draught seals to minimise heat loss through the ceiling plane.
